Questions and answers
Does Reel Games work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. The games are installed on your device with the app, so they keep working in airplane mode, in a tunnel, or anywhere the signal drops. Global leaderboards need a connection to sync your scores, so those update the next time you are online.
Are there ads?
No. There are no banner ads, no video ads between rounds, and no popups interrupting a game. When you lose, you go straight back to the start screen.
How many games are included?
47 games, grouped the way the app groups them: arcade, puzzle and strategy. New games are added regularly.
Is Reel Games free?
The app is free to download and you start with 12 free games, no credit card required. Reel Games Pro unlocks the complete library and every future game, at $3.99 per month or $9.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial. You can cancel anytime.
Which games are free and which need Pro?
The App Store listing states that you start with 12 free games, but it does not publish which specific titles those are. Open the app to see what is unlocked for you. Pro removes the distinction by unlocking everything.
What devices are supported?
iPhone on iOS 18.6 or later, iPad on iPadOS 18.6 or later, Mac on macOS 15.6 or later, Apple M1 chip or later, and Apple Vision on visionOS 2.6 or later. There is no Android version.
How big is the download?
50.7 MB. That is small enough to install on hotel Wi-Fi before a trip, and it is the reason the games keep running once you lose signal: they are already on the device.
What data does Reel Games collect?
No name, email address, phone number, location, photos, contacts, or advertising identifiers. Your account is a randomly generated username, and the only thing stored against it is your high scores, so the global leaderboard has something to rank. Payments are handled entirely by Apple, who never share your card details. The full detail is on the privacy policy page.
Do I need an account?
An account is created for you and it is anonymous: the app generates a random username rather than asking for your name or email address. Signing in with Google is offered as an alternative. Either way, no personal information is required to start playing.
Can I compare my scores with other players?
Yes. Reel Games has global leaderboards, so you can see how a score stacks up against other players and chase your own personal bests. Leaderboards need a connection, so play offline and your scores sync when you are back online.
How do I move to the next game?
Swipe up, the same gesture you use in a short video feed. The next game opens immediately with no loading screen. Swipe back down to return to something you were already playing.
Are new games added?
Yes, new games are added regularly, and a Pro subscription includes every game added in the future at no extra cost.
What age is Reel Games rated for?
The App Store rates it 4+. There are no ads and no personal information is asked for, so it is safe to hand to anyone in the car, but the library is built for everyone rather than aimed at young children.
